Playing
What do you do in Cozymoa?
Cozymoa is a cozy building game for your browser: you shape your own little tropical island and follow its islanders through their days. You build houses, paths and gardens, and every new house brings new islanders. Guests drop by on the ferry, and there’s always something going on. There’s no goal you have to reach.
Is there any time pressure?
No, you play at your own pace. Nothing breaks, and no one is waiting on you. You decide how fast an island day goes by, and you can pause time, too.
What happens when I’m not playing?
Your island dozes until you come back. While you’re away, time stands still on your island. You won’t miss a thing, and no one gets sad.
Can I do anything wrong?
Hardly. Whatever you build, you can move or remove again. There are no tasks you have to finish, just a few ideas. Build whatever you like.
Are there battles or leaderboards?
No, there are no battles and no leaderboards. Your team does play for points in the Island League, but all in good fun: losing doesn’t matter.
What are explorers?
Islanders who practice at schools and sail to faraway islands in your ships. It’s all up to you, with no fighting: you decide who becomes an explorer and where the voyage goes. In the demo, they practice up to level 3 and rise to rank 10. Their experience keeps counting, and with the full game they go up to level 10 and rank 50.
Is there music?
No, Cozymoa is completely silent. Listen to whatever you like, or enjoy the quiet.
Is there help in the game?
Yes, anytime. You can replay the introduction, take short tours or look things up in the Island Guide.
Account and saving
Is my island saved?
Yes, all by itself. Your island saves itself while you play.
Do I need an account?
Yes, to play you create a free account. All you need is your email address and a password. If someone sends you a link to their island, you can look around even without an account.
Can I have more than one island?
Yes, with the full game. Each new island has its own islanders and its own story.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, with 30 days to change your mind. Until then, one click brings your account back. After that, it’s deleted along with all its islands.
Demo and full game
Does Cozymoa cost anything?
The demo is free and has no time limit. In it, you shape a whole island. The full game adds even more.
What’s in the demo?
A whole island, for as long as you like. You build with a selection of buildings, choose your home and your landmark, and welcome your first guests. Whatever you build stays.
What does the full game add?
All buildings, overnight guests and more islands. Your team also plays in the Island League, and you build ships of your own at your shipyard.
Do I keep my island if I switch to the full game?
Yes. Your island and your shells both stay, and everything new is added.
Can you buy advantages?
No. Money never makes anything faster. You earn shells in the game all by yourself, mostly from guests and trade.
Friends and visits
Can I visit friends?
Yes, with a link. Every island has its own link to share. Anyone who opens it can look around the island, even without an account.
Can friends build on my island?
No, only the island’s owner can build. A visit is for looking around: your friends see your island and how life goes on there.
Technical
Can I play on my phone?
It’s loveliest on a computer, right in your browser. There, the island is big and building is easy. You can choose your character on your phone, too.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Cozymoa is a browser game and runs right in your browser.
Which browser do I need?
Almost any up-to-date browser on a computer will do. If it ever doesn’t work, the game lets you know.
